I thought guangzhou is now the most populous urban area in china, and also the world, so I too was surprised to see shanghai, unless you are measuring the city populations.
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0762524.html ........... gives a nice list of top 20 Cities in the World.... Shanghai 22,991.000 = 3rd after Tokyo and Delhi...... that is 2014 figures which is given as the most reliable to date.
As you can see in the following site, Mumbai has a much larger population than Delhi: http://worldpopulationreview.com/countries/india-population/cities/
No, just 20, I usually go for 20 in a quiz to work on a time basis, although after your suggestion I may go through the world now and maybe find some others.
"Ho Chi" and "Dar es" don't really make sense as type-ins. I don't really know if anyone refers to Ho Chi Minh City as "Ho Chi Minh," but at least it's the full name of the guy it's named after (and I've never heard anyone refer to him as "Ho Chi." And Dar es Salaam is frequently referred to simply as "Dar," but never as "Dar es."
Hey Mal, I just came to this quiz from a link you posted on another quiz, but that link worked by making a word in the scentence (such as 'this quiz') a hyperlink in blue color that brought me here when I clicked on it. So my question is: how do you do this?
I see it a lot on this site and I don't know how to do it so I thought I'd ask.
Ali, it is tricky to explain because if I type it correctly it will just give the blue printed 'here it is' that you mention, so I will explain what to type as best as I can......... type everything in the brackets but not the brackets (<) then type (a href=") then type your url e.g. (https:www.jetpunk.com) then type (">) then type (here it is) followed by (<) then (/a) then (>)
Hi Mal, I really like the premise of this quiz and I just nominated it. I think a few answers have changed since 2019, but otherwise it's great! If you're really ambitious I'd love to see one like this with the US states. Cheers!
