Who Did That 1950s Song #1

After making this quiz, I think I might know why Quizmaster stopped this series in the 1960s. The music business was very different back then, and when a song was a big hit there would often be several covers of it within a short time. That makes it sometimes hard to pinpoint exactly one artist associated with some of these songs - I had to use lesser-known songs for a few of these artists because either they were covers of other artists' songs, or someone else had covered THEIR song. Even with the additional qualifier I put in the quiz instructions, it was hard to do this in a way that was fair and (hopefully) not too confusing.
