Fun fact: for a city in India to be given city stratus, it needs to have a 100k population, so you basically made all the cities of India plus all 100k cities from the other Asian countries.
Yes. But if I were to do that, then I'd have to do a little more research to find an official database on Indian cities, which will most likely better suit the title.
Yes, because I included the ~1,100 extra Chinese towns which were not included on citypopulation.de. I used city proper population to calculate the data instead of urban
Thanks cuotak. There are probably far more errors with the Chinese data than the amount you've mentioned. Data regarding Chinese towns is difficult to find, so I'll edit the Chinese data soon and fix this quiz.
Taipang is spelt as Taiping. Sungai Ara is part of Georgetown in Penang, it should be Bayan Lepas or Balik Pulau. The whole of Penang in Mainland Malaysia is referred as Seberang Perai. Might want to check on that. Accept Selayang for Selayang Baru. No one in Malaysia refers it as Selayang Baru
j- All repeated consonants may be reduced to one; e.g. Saqez can be accepted for Saqqez.
k- All "Bandar" (meaning port) cities may be accepted without Bandar; Mahshahr for Bandar-e Mahshahr. The only exception is Bandar Abbas that always retains it. If you in Iran say I am going to the city of Bandar, it is understood that you are going to Bandar Abbas.
l- the "-e" form means "of" and may be omitted. e.g. Masjed Soleyman (the mosque of Solomon) or Torbat Jam (the land of Jamshid).
j- the only city of Nazarabad with a considerable population is to the west of Karaj. I really could not find a city with at least 100k people near the city of Jahrom.
And as I am rather fluent in Arabic, and travelled a lot to Iraq:
Al and other forms (Ar, As, At and others meaning "the") separated by a dash from the main part of the name can be omitted with no harm. Al-Baghdad and Baghdad are the same thing as Al-Rakka and Rakka or Al-Kufah and Kufah
I think many Chinese and Indian cities are spelled wrong, such as "Zhongmuo" should be "Zhongmou" and "Zhaotang" should be "Zhaotong". Could you fix it ? I feel pain while doing the quiz because can't entet the answer even when I try using the Wikipedia.

Do you know how many Chinese cities are actually on this list?
some general rules:

g- Nishapur is an archaic form, the current acceptable pronounciation is Neyshabu(oo)(ou)r or Neishabu(oo)(ou)r
h- "Gonbade Kavus" is more generally used compared to "Gonbad-e Qabus" and I do not know any city named "Golestan" near
