This was originally at one minute before it was featured, and Quizmaster extended the time to 90 seconds. I tried cutting the time limit back, but he said that “it makes it a typing test and we have those already”. However, I did make a 15 second sprint version of this quiz, which you can take here.

Thanks. This quiz was made using Manual Type-Ins before new type-Ins were accepted, like NZ, DR, and KSA (for Saudi Arabia). These will work now.

Good quiz overall but Palestine should count since it's a UN observer state, the same status as Vatican City and that counts so why doesn't Palestine count?

Must be to do with the level of real control they have over their territory - Italy is pretty hands-off in the running of the Vatican, but Israel on the other hand...

This is correct, Quizmaster has said before that it depends whether they have actual control and governance over their territory which is why Palestine isn't a country and why Crimea is part of Russia on maps. The Palestinian government doesn't control their claimed area, and Russia does control Crimea and has for a while.

The current 90 seconds seems like a good amount of time to me. I'm on my phone, so I can never type as quickly as on a computer. I moved quickly and steadily, only pausing once for a brief brain fart at R. The others, I had a country in mind without stopping. Still took me 1:03.

Life hack: Type “Burma” for B. Then it will also fill in Myanmar in the M slot. And do the same with “Congo” for C so it fills “Rep. of the Congo” for the R slot.

It doesn't work. Burma doesn't fill 'B', Congo fills 'D' and 'R' but not 'C'.

I finished with only 3 seconds left. I don't understand the people that say the time is too long. Who cares - if you finish, you know your time that you finished in, so why make it shorter for people that type slower or are on their phones vs. computers? Once you're done, you're done - it doesn't matter if the quiz is 30 seconds or 3 minutes.

I sometimes do the Countries of the World quiz this way, cycling through the alphabet until you're just down to M then S, so I was able to do this in 33 seconds--and I killed a cockroach in the middle of it. Fun quiz!
