Buddy Boeheim is Jim Boeheim's SON, not his grandson.

Yep (though I think this surprising for most to hear considering that Jim Boeheim is 76 and Buddy Boeheim is 21).

Asking when Boeheim started coaching at Syracuse has nothing to do with this year's tournament. This also applies to the teams that didn't make the sweet sixteen considering two of them weren't even in this year's tournament. :)

Some of these questions need fixing. In sports parlance, the higher seed is the team with the lower number. 1 is the highest seed and 16 is the lowest. Gonzaga, as the number 1 overall seed, was the highest seed to reach the Elite Eight. Oregon State was the lowest seed. And the question re "four powerhouses" is phrased way too generally. Michigan State is another powerhouse that didn't make the Sweet Sixteen. Illinois, as a 1 seed, was certainly a powerhouse this year. Ohio State too. At a minimum, you need to clarify that you are looking for *perennial* powerhouses, and not just teams, like Illinois and Iowa, that were powerhouses this year. Beyond that, it's still too general, as there are more than four perennial powerhouses that didn't make the Sweet Sixteen. Add some specifics to make the answers definitive, or you should drop that question.
