1. There is a high chance (53%) that climate change will cause humans to become extinct by 2050
The chances are extremely unlikely, though, it is estimated that 16% of all species will become extinct by that time

2. The Amazon rainforest produces 20% of the world's oxygen
Amazon plants consume 60% of oxygen they produce by respiration and microbes consume the other 40%, so the net contribution of Amazon ecosystem to the world is effectively zero

5. Climate change begun due to the Industrial Revolution
Climate has changed over the course of history, however, the rapid warming now is not a natural occurence

7. Some animals are adapting to climate change due to natural selection
Though, unfortunately, others cannot adapt too quickly to the rapid change and there are risks of extinction

12. Climate change indirectly causes the death of millions of people in developing nations
Poor living conditions and diseases are the major cause of many deaths, rather than climate change. However, over time, the effect of climate change may cause problems in these countries

Thank you for this quiz.

I do agree that nuclear is a great way of generating low-carbon electricity, however, I do not understand the question about nuclear energy. Carbon dioxide emissions reductions compared to what (time prior to use of nuclear in electricity generation? scenario in which the electricity would be generated by the remaining mix of coal/gas/hydro/solar/wind?)? At which level (USA? Worldwide?)? between which dates? Thank you for the precisions you could give!
