I like these quizzes alot and they are always nice so thank you for making it :)

Also I know you point it out in the description but some names while related are just shorter forms of original longer names which makes the quiz a bit inconsequent.

Closer translations of the names:

Kurt - Curt

Konrad - Conrad

Lise - Liz

Lisbeth - Lizbeth

Elisabeth - Elizabeth

Steffi - Steph

Stephanie/Stefanie - Stephanie

If those names you put in there were far more common I would agree with changing to a shorter form but for these I don't think it is the case.

However one thing that simply does not work is using Amadeus as an English version of Gottlieb or vice versa.

While the two names mean more or less the same in Latin and German, no English connection is to be made.

Calling Amadeus an English version of the Gottlieb would be like calling Malus an English word for Apfel (Apple).

I agree with you 100%. Some changes would be better or if some names like Curt/Curtis were accepted as alternative answers
