Maybe make the hyphen to be "–" to be consistent with the other featured ones, also make it centered and not touching the word.

How come it's maryland and not virginia?

Agreed, I was taught both donated land. Google agrees (31 sq. mi. from Virginia and 69 from Maryland)

Well, I'd thought both did too, but the Quizmaster added this question. My original one was slightly different. Let's see if he'll change it back

They both donated land but some laws were later passed that made the Virginia side terrible but the Maryland side cool so the terrible Virginia side joined back into Virginia.

If I recall correctly, that's why the city today isn't a perfect square (a chunk is missing from the southwest) - that's the part which was ceded back to Virginia.

"on which Washington D.C. sits today?

Modern DC no longer includes the Virginia portion.

Wait. Aren't Cherry trees and Cherry Blossom Trees two different things? I thought the cherry tree option was a trick because I know those trees in DC don't produce any cherries.

Cherry Blossom trees are a specific variety of cherry tree that are cultivated for their blossoms rather than for their fruit

I thought they were different too. I thought Japan donated the cherry blossom tree. I know that the two trees are the same genus, but I thought there were different intents, one for blossoms and one for cherries, so they were considered different.

Picked JFK as a hunch for the cemetery question which I had no clue about as a Canadian, just cuz I figured the city of Arlington was close to Dallas where he was shot

In hindsight it does make sense since he was in office at time of death. Also I guess you guys switched capitals at some point, so it would be random for one of the early ones to be buried there.

Anyways 10/10, not bad for a Canadian! fun quiz
