I think some of the populations you wrote are wrong, or cities you chose. Lagos seems to have more than 80 million people here? Hausa should probably be in Kano and Igbo maybe in port harcourt

Lagos does not have more than 80 million people. The size of the circle indicates how many people speak that language in Africa, and the city its in indicates the city that has the most speakers of that language in Africa.

Having Hausa in Lagos is kind of misleading since it's a Sahel language. But I guess you have to put the dots somewhere.

Great quiz! I've nominated it. But your source says there are 1.2 million native French speakers in Africa, which seems a lot more reasonable, not 120 mil. There are over 300 mil people in Africa who speak French, but not natively. And I'm pretty sure there are some languages missing, but that's the source's fault. And also, do Lagos and Kinshasa really have the most native speakers of Hausa/Igbo and Lingala? It seems a bit doubtful to me. Anyways, thanks.

I'm not exactly sure how French ended up with 120 million speakers on this quiz, but my best guess is that that was the number on the source when I initially made the quiz, and at some later point in time the source got updated and the number was corrected to 1.2 million. Unfortunately I don't have the original SVG map from this quiz saved on my computer, and I haven't made or edited an SVG map in years so I'm not sure how I'd be able to go about fixing this error. As for how I determined which city had the most native speakers for each language, I can't remember where I got that data from, so I can't give you a solid answer to your last question. I apologise for the errors on this quiz, of which I'm sure there are quite a few, as this quiz is over 4 years old, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it! And thanks for your kind and constructive comment.
