In this quiz, you will have to answer various geography-related questions to make lines appear on your screen. Once all the lines have been connected, find out what country has been traced, and guess the country to fill it in. Good luck and hope you enjoy!
Questions borrowed from random geography quizzes across the site.
Thanks to the help of Pandora49, the issue of dark-mode users being able to see the inside of the mystery country has been resolved, as well as some other issues regarding the SVG, such as paths not appearing. However, another issue has appeared, being that dark-mode users now see a small portion of the country at the bottom left of their screens. Fortunately, this issue doesn't make it obvious for the quiz-taker to find the country, but I am looking for a fix, for now, the quiz is playable for all users.
Sorry for the delay in fixing this quiz. I couldn't figure out how to do it, but I finally figured out what was wrong. The quiz should work without issue for everyone know. Hope you enjoy :)
Just a suggestion / something to bring to your attention. I'm not sure how you'd fix it as I'm not as well-versed with CSS. Perhaps changing the background to nothing (I think there's a see-through background or something) rather than white?
This is a great quiz! Fun idea, good mix of difficult and hard questions. I actually got the answer by mistake because I thought Sudan was the largest landlocked country in Africa :P
I also replied to your comment on my Marco Polo quiz. A year ago, I had absolutely no experience with SVGs, and now I'm close to getting one featured! So if I have any advice, it would be to keep on experimenting. This is already a great start and you'll keep getting better with time. Hopefully one day one of your quizzes will get featured through nominations! Until then though, I'm always happy to give advice if you want it :)
Thank you so much, though I am not sure that this is feature-worthy... Yeah, I really want to fix the dark mode issue but there are some other issues with this I'm also trying to fix.
Yeah, I was thinking that a series could be possible out of this since the CSS itself was very simple and the only part which took a while was making the paths, work and there were a few issues with that. A series might happen, and I'd be interested in making a randomized version if it is possible.
Fun quiz, love the concept of getting all the answers correct when you guess the mystery country. Most quizzes force you to name everything else too, it adds a nice touch of using your brain to guess what the country is using only a few lines. nominated :P
Great quiz. (Just a note that entering “South Sudan” reveals all the answers except than main one. Probably because you’ve set the “SUDAN” type-in on each answer to “contains” instead of “starts with”.)
Please accept "tomato" for the food fight question - I've been to the festival so was really puzzled when it didn't work (and yes, I know more than one tomato is thrown!!)
I can still see the country in Dark Mode, and puzzlingly the name of that country counts as correct for all the answers! I'm not complaining, I'll take the free 100%!
Thanks. Some people think this quiz is too easy because you win when you guess the country, but honestly I don't really think that is an issue because the average score is only in the 20s. However, I see how this can be frustrating :)

Also, if you find a fix, will there be a series?
Edit: I added 60 seconds
Good job mate!
I was kind of disappointed when the quiz ended once I got the country. Usually, guessing the country is a bonus point.
