All Modern-Day Countries Ever Controlled by the Seljuks

If you've watched History of the Entire World, I guess by Bill Wurtz, there is a decent chance you remember the "It's the Seljuk Turks - aah!" meme. That was quite funny wasn't it? But what do we really know about them? How powerful was their empire? Below is a map of all modern-day countries that were fully or partially under their control, can you name them all?

Includes vassal states
While this probably is not perfect, this map should be a rough representation of how far the Seljuks have reached

Great quiz, but how did you color the other countries black? When I do it, they are black on inkscape but when I upload the quiz to jetpunk they are yellow.

You have to remove the country class from them, and to make it dark gray (not black c;) you should either give them the color code 888888 (in hex) or by giving them the disputed class. As for light gray, it's cccccc in hex and uses the surrounding class

The ones I make up lol, I have a terrible sense of creativity

Anyway, lemme change this to something related to the quiz

Teacher: Summarize what happened Between Byzantines and the Seljuks

Student: (In Singsong voice) It's a bird It's a Plane, It's the Seljuk Turks

Byzantine: AAAAAAAAAH!

Student: Hey Seljuks, think can you can conquer the Byzantines

Seljuks: Yup.

The Turks gobbled up Byzantine somehow, the end.

lol for ages when the page was loading only afghanistan and greyed-out albania were rendered, and i thought this entire quiz was a meme to show how pathetic the seljuk empire was. turns out they did a bit better than that

I know these are probably difficult to make. The tiny part of Saudi Arabia bordering Kuwait does not light up when you enter Saudi Arabia as an answer--only when you enter Kuwait.

Great quiz - reminds me of that old story about the Seljuk sultan Alp Arslan who was said to have had moustaches so long he had to tie them behind his head when he went out to hunt.
