I wasn't sure about including Amsterdam-Zuidoost, now it is not on the quiz, thanks for the information.
And about the Brussels area cities, I think they are separate municipalities to the city of Brussels, and as the populations for the quiz are city proper, I decided to include them. If I merge them with Brussels, then it would be the Brussels metro area, and not its city proper, but I'm not sure if that is the most correct thing. If more peolpe request it I'll make the change
indeed, those cities near Brussels aren't included to the municipality of Brussels. The Brussels Urban Area is actually a sort of province (next to Flanders and Wallonia), with several municipalities.
I couldn't find more recent data for city proper populations on neither wikipedia nor Citypopulation.de, so I'm going to leave the population figures as they are for now
Amsterdam Zuidoost is indeed part of Amsterdam, usually statistics never cover both separately though, I think your stats are just outdated for many cities.
The Brussels Capital region comprises 19 different municipalities indeed. It is a weird construction but it explains why the population of the City of Brussels is not high compared to other cities. Cities like Amsterdam are not divided into separate municipalities but into different neighborhoods, I hope this explains.
I am from Amsterdam and live in Brussels by the way.
Yeah, that's because the Brussels region is divided into municipalities. If you include them, the population is larger, but that¡d technically be urban area

Very good quiz. Only you should update some data.
