You should use the 2023 estimate or the 2020 census, the population numbers youre using (taken from the quiz you linked) hasn't been updated since 2013

Thank you for pointing that out. I have just updated the quiz using the latest-available (2022) data from citypopulation.de. Since I'm limiting this quiz to the 1,000 largest cities in the U.S., a few pairs dropped out and a few more have been added from the version that used the 2013 data.
