What about the Shang and Zhou dynasties? Don't they count as a "unified China"?

Archaeologically their existence is to be confirmed.

The Shang dynasty and Zhou dynasty are firmly supported by archaeological evidence... You must be thinking of the Xia dynasty, which is an uncertain time period that predates those dynasties.

Shang and Zhou were not Empires, so they didn't have any Emperor.

Based on the results, I guess people forget that Suez canal wasn't built until 19th century, and Zheng He probably wasn't keen on sailing around Africa....

Kinda funny that the fact I had under that quiz was #266 "China only has one time zone..."

I missed 13 because I thought it was total land not percent, in which case China beats the EU at 470k sq miles to 404k or 1.21 million sq km to 1.04 million

11." When spoken, Cantonese (Yue) and Mandarin are not mutually intelligible".

Why put the 'not' in. Why can't the question be "When spoken, Cantonese (Yue) and Mandarin are mutually intelligible". Potentially confusing and unnecessary.

Because that would mean the opposite - the quiz means a speaker of each cannot understand each other, whereas your sentence means they could.

The time zone one should come with an asterisk. For almost everything, the time in Xinjiang is two hours behind the rest of the country. It can mess with you if you're doing something that uses the national time zone (such as catching a flight).
