"Inflammation" is the actual listed answer. The quiz would not be allowed to be live if the actual answer wasn't an acceptable type-in. "Inflammation" is the first listed type-in, alongside "swelling", "swollen", and "inflame".
I considered doing this. However, etymology notwithstanding, their modern medical uses are distinct and consistent, so I kept them separate. The opposite case is true for "infra-" and "sub-"; their originsโthough both Latinโare ostensibly different, but their modern uses are similar enough that I unified them as one answer.
It's difficult to cover the entire scope of potential answers and their permutations for each entry. I've worked to add more generous type-ins to the ones people seem to struggle with the most. "Dys-" already accepts "bad", "wrong", "ill", "impaired", "abnormal", and "difficult". Likewise, "-genic" accepts "make", "cause", "origin", "start", "begin", "produce", and "create", though I'll add "making" as an acceptable answer as well. If you have other specific suggestions regarding how to make the answers feel less narrow, let me know.
you could consider unifying them
