I was going to ask for Count Chocula but you beat me to it. With all the sugar, it’s probably helped killed more people for real than in any of the books of fiction. ;)
As of today (2/22/25), 100% knew about Romania, but "only" 99% that vampires drink blood??? The geography question must have been added very recently, perhaps even today, because people don't usually do that well on obscure geographical questions within pop culture.
The very 1st version of the quiz included Christopher Lee and Lugosi but the results were too bad on these 2 questions. Now the quiz seems more accessible to all users.
Anyway Lugosi will always remain a legend for the vampire fans (along with his accent "bevare" !).
That's ok, but there are some fairly difficult questions in almost every quiz, and I really think it is great to have some relatively unknown, yet important things, that can contribute to the educational side of these quizzes. It's not all about satisfying the taker's ego, it has to be about learning, too, especially learning on the important details of the subject. And I really think that, if we are talking about the vampires in XX century popular culture, hardly anyone is more important than Bela Lugosi.
TBH I'm a little embarrassed since I agree with your point but I'm not the only one who decides what questions appear in the featured version of this quiz. If it were up to me, I'd replace one question with one about Lugosi.
If you mean it wasn't developed by Nintendo themselves, then you're correct. However, the NES is sometimes referred to as the "Nintendo", so in that context, it is a Nintendo game.
Maybe some leniency on the wooden stake? I tried wooden pole, spear, staff etc. There might be a significant difference between pole and stake, but as a non-native speaker I did not know the word.
I know the clear answer to the animal question is "bat," and at 90% people don't seem to be having a problem answering it, but maybe specify something like the animal they most famously turn into? Dracula can turn into a dog in the original novel, and Carmilla turns into a cat in her eponymous short story.
Sure, the French version will be released in a few days ;)
Werewolves: nope, and you can make it if you want;)
Enjoy :)
or even, shockingly
Fortunately those people are a small minority. Thank God that Abraham Lincoln defeated the vampire menace!
Anyway Lugosi will always remain a legend for the vampire fans (along with his accent "bevare" !).
Or at the very least 2.
