Just amazing. I'm pretty sure I don't have to add anything else. Congrats for this masterpiece, with the best animations I've seen on the whole website!
Some draws can be tougher than others, espacially when country shapes come "en masse". Unfortunately, it's the laws of statistics. Also there are about 3 seconds of blank at the end of the quiz to give time to type a few country names.
This is the terrible reality of randomization: as with random COTW on the world map, you can have large, easily recognizable countries or trickier smaller countries that are harder to locate.
Here users have to be prepared for possible incoming waves of grouped countries.
If you're willing to tweak the code a bit, there are ways to prevent long droughts and huge groupings.
In classic Tetris, each of the 7 piece types has a 1 in 7 chance of dropping each time. This makes it possible to get the same piece several times in a row, or to get a long I-piece drought that prevents Tetrises from being scored.
In modern Tetris, each of the 7 piece types are put into a random order and, after each set of 7, the pool is re-shuffled. You can only get the same piece twice in a row if it's the last one in a group, and then the first one in the next group. The longest possible I-piece drought is 13, if it shows up first in one group and then last in the next group.
If you put the countries into groups of 5 or 10 or 20, and let 1 or 2 or 4 be black within each group, then there would be a maximum drought and a maximum number that can appear in a row.
I understand what you mean and it's true that it would make the quiz less difficult by avoiding large groupings of countries. However, the random group option doesn't work that way if I'm not wrong: creating groups that are too big (10 countries each) makes them easy to guess because once you get them, it's simple to memorize them. Making groups of 5 countries does not avoid massive waves since groups can be randomly chosen.
There may be a good balance but it takes a lot of time and tries and unfortunately I don't have time to look into this question in more depth for now. I note your idea which could be the object of an update soon!
One thing which trips me up is that apparently if you guess a country which has not appeared yet, it still counts. So if you see Nigeria go by and start typing Niger, it counts if Niger is one of the later countries and you miss Nigeria if you don't notice that your type-in has disappeared.
Indeed you can guess countries that have not appeared yet on screen. But shhh it's a secret some bitter users have not discovered before posting their comments!
Any timed quiz is difficult on a phone. I'm a touch typist. I can do 90 wpm on a keyboard, and maybe 10 wpm with my thumbs. I don't know that there's any solution to that problem. Some things in life are only suited to one medium.
Fun quiz but its really annoying when in the first 30 seconds only 5 countries come by so you have to speedtype (+remember) all the other 15 countries in the second half. Would be more fun if the countries came by more evenly spread.
Great fun! Zero points at first for me because I failed to understand that I only had to type the black ones .. my fault entirely, you made it really clear
Another ridiculous typing test. Knowledge has absolutely nothing to do with typing skill. This is a typing test that's all it is like so many other "quizzes" on this site.
Yes, there are a lot of non-quizzes on the site, and I love it. There are typing tests, memory tests, crossword puzzles, and I made some Sudoku puzzles. Thank goodness we aren't limited to quizzes!
If you accidentally click on the screen before taking it, this is absurdly hard! (I may have done this without realising and was very very confused at what to do)
Just my opinion, this is a really cool quiz, but I'd like to see the time allotment increased even to 1:30. It would still be plenty challenging for most people, I believe.
I'm sorry but I don't have the time or the habit of modifying SVGs for other players. Take the time to read the SVG guide so you can make the modifications yourself on this quiz and even on others. Anyone can do it, after a little learning time ;)

Thanks again for your support!
Amazing quiz! Didn't know animation was even possible on Jetpunk.
There should be a few seconds at the end to give you time to type the ones that appear at the last second.
Since it's randomized, we can sometimes get only 1 black country shape every 10 seconds, and sometimes get 6 black country shapes all at once!

20 countries in 1 minute, that's like finishing Countries of the World in 10 mins...
Why can't you appreciate the awesomeness of this quiz, and not bothering the creator because you made a bad score ?
The countries arrive frustratingly sometimes, but it is a super quiz. Try a "best of three" approach :)
Can I translate the quiz to German?
Sure you can do it :) Thanks for asking
Here is the quiz: https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/1607096/landerumrisse-angelspiel
Can you change the textures?
For "Somewhere, under the sea": Irgendwo in der Tiefsee...
And for "Did you catch them all?": Hast du sie alle gefangen?
I'll collaborate with you.
Sorry, I haven't the knowledge of SVG's to change that. I also didn't understand the SVG Guide 😵💫

love this quiz
Thankyou
