Did this really nervously, as a US-resident.

Trinidad would have been one of my last guesses. No winter heating, no road trips, no oil production. What are they doing?

Actually, they are the main exporter of oil in the Caribbean and main producer of liquefied natural gas in LatAm/Caribbean, according to this source! It surprised me as well to see it so high

Not exactly Trinidad but really close Aruba was even shelled by Nazi submarines during WWII cause its oil production was important for the Allies war effort.

And Venezuela has the largest known oil reserves in the world while Guyana is right now getting rich of their oil. So not too surprinsing that Trinidad has oil as well, even though I wouldnt have guessed it either

Really interesting; good one. I looked up Mongolia, as that surprised me to see them on there, and found that the reasons for their high figure are: livestock pumping out methane (70 million of 'em), coal use, desertification, and an increase in pests that have damaged trees.
