1150 Jacza von Köpenick conquered the March from the Ascanian Albrecht. 1157 Albrecht the Bear reconquered Brandenburg and evicted Jaxa.
The brothers Johann I. and Otto the Faithful co-ruled the March. 1267 Otto with the arrow, son of Johann I., took over the Rule.
1320-1323 Brandenburg didn't had an official Margrave, but the ascanian Duke Rudolf von Sachsen-Wittenberg(Saxe-Wittenberg) ruled over the March.
1348 a person identified himself as Waldemar the Great and the King made him Margrave of Brandenburg. 1350 he was accused of being an Impostor and got removed from the throne. Ludwig the older was reinstated as Margrave.
Sigismund gave 1388-1411 the March as a pawn to his cousin Jobst. After Jobst's death Sigismund was reinstated as Margrave.
