Never thougt Suriname would be in here. Only about 500.000 people live there but at the same time here in The Netherlands we have another 350.000 people from Suriname descent living here.
So why wouldn't Surinam be on there? Together, the number of people living in the country and those living in the Netherlands only add up to 850,000. Add those living on the Dutch islands and you may begin to approach the 1 million mark, but the question was COUNTRIES with fewer than 1 million people. By your own reckoning Surinam has only 500,000 people living in the country.
I was saying that I am living in The Netherlands and we have lots of people with Surinam decent living here I didn't expect that it would be alsmost as much as half the people living there. I thought that if we have 350K Surinam people living here, there would be at least a million "left" in Suriname itself. :)
