yeah, I only got Zambia because I was trying to get Zimbabwe. I knew it started with a z so getting Zambia was an accident.

no, as now you can remember a particular flag’s country has an eagle on it without needing to recognise which specific eagle it is, and i would say that’s more in the spirit of the quiz.

I always thought the bird on the Ecuadorian flag was an eagle. Obviously it is a condor.

According to Wikipedia, the symbol is called the Zimbabwe bird, and the design is based on soapstone sculptures found in the ruined city of Great Zimbabwe. The article says the sculptures are thought to represent the bateleur eagle or the African fish eagle.

It is an old symbol in heraldy. Wide spreaded across the Eastern Roman Empire. Probably originated in the Asia Minor or in the Balkans. Many meanings during history. For us it is a unity between the country and the Church, or between Serbia and the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church (Orthodox Church).

The zimbabwe one is an eagle?? It looks more like a dove, or a man-dove, or a sphinx-dove.. (look at its hind legs). Or maybe just a dog with a cape..

Couldn't get Kazakhstan. I never thought of it as a eagle. I always remenbered a yellow sun with lines below it and yellow patterns with a light blue backround. Pretty nice quiz though.
