You should make it more clear that you mean 3 pairs of states. I didn't realize you had to type in both answers because typing one turns the pair green.

I think that desription is fine. Six states have been merged, guess the merged states.

The description is fine, but having both turn green is a problem. I had three of the states in under 20 seconds, then spent the rest of the time totally confused looking for 3 more merged sets.

Add me to the chorus. I got Kansas, Virginia, and Maine right away, and then had no idea what could be left because their partner states all turn green with them. Why would I type in Nebraska when it's already turned green? Instructions should be clarified.

add me to the chorus of folks that got 1 of each pair to start and then stared blankly at connecticut for the remaining time

I also agree that a change needs to be made, I made the same mistake.

Maybe if we get enough people to comment about it it will happen.

So that's what they mean by the Kansas-Nebraska Act.

i have 2 ideas for improving:

1. add a randomness element, pick a random state then out of its neighbors pick a random one (while making sure both havent been picked before)

2. mske it so pairs with only 1 state guessed turn into a different color before green

Still a line between Kentucky and Virginia. That needs to be cleaned up.

Enjoying the implication of the picture. Like, Stephen Douglas thinks we have too many states and we should combine some.

please clarify in the instructions that you want both of the merged states entered.

I like how you referenced Stephen Douglas because he introduced the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which is one of the options on this quiz.

You shouldn't let them turn green until both states are entered. Definitely a little confusing

Australia is the same size as the US, and they're only divided into 6 states. Maybe they're onto something.
