I like the idea but feel that the title is wrong. I hate the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), not the country. The Chinese people are long-suffering and deserve our sympathy - even those who have been brain-washed into supporting the CCP, in much the same way as Winston was made to love Big Brother.
I understand what you mean @CardinalSin, but the other similar quizzes are just like this. You may hate the US government, but like the people. I understand these figures can change as new people take office, but that is precisely why I chose China, its unlikely its policies and government will change soon. I will add a caveat saying this likely represents the Govt, and not the people
The absence of India made me check the source. The wikipedia article has two Pew polls, you used the 2019 poll not the 2020 poll. From the 2020 poll I get the idea that Pew surveyed a limited number of countries. Another poll in the article, from BBC, has India at 60% negative opinion, lower than I would expect but certainly more accurate than the Pew poll. The word hate is a bit strong too. All the polls use the phrase "a negative view". I can see Canadians having a negative view but not a hatred.
Many people complained about the absence of two countries, which I was also surprised by.
One Country came from another source, which I found made the list
Two countries had only 69 and 81 percent of people give an opinion, so the ratios are scaled up to 95 percent. Which makes both of them make the list.
I also changed the word hate to dislike. I used that word originally for simplicity, but as many users pointed out, is a bit too extreme.
