If you are typing random countries there are countries like Dominican Republic which you cant type first because of Dominica. Or Countries like Nigeria which you can't type first because of Niger.

Basically, one country will activate when you try to type in another, since it contains a part of that country.

{*Parenthesis is the country it contains.}

Countries & What They Activate:*

(Congo) Republic also activates Democratic Rep. (Congo)

(Guinea)-Bissau activates (Guinea)

(Dominica)n Republic activates (Dominica)

I finally get the quiz. You can't type Nigeria because of Niger. You cannot type Ukraine because of UK. You cannot type Dominican Republic because of Dominica. You cannot type Guinea-Bissau because of Guinea

If you type Republic of the Congo it does highlight Republic of the Congo, so I don't think this should be one of the answers here. (It also triggers DRC, so you get 2-for-1).

There is now an official type-in for Dominican Republic. We can now write "DR" instead, making it possible to type it as the first country

That also means you have to add the DRC. If you type DRC, you will trigger Dominican Republic with DR. But if you type Congo, you will also trigger Republic of the Congo.

If you want avoid changing this quiz and resetting stats you could add a caveat saying "Excluding abbreviations".

In German, Dominican Republic is often abbreviated as "Dom. Rep.", even spoken like that. No wonder, as in German, it has even two syllables more: "Dominikanische Republik".

I somehow expected that English language might use "Dom. Rep." as well and was a bit disappointed when I found out it doesn't.

But in German version of Jetpunk, "Dom Rep" is a working type-in for the country.

Problems here:

-typing “Congo” gets both countries.

-typing “DR” calls up the Dominican Republic without triggering something else.

The quiz should be updated with these two excluded.

I did not get it until after taking the quiz, but I understood after seeing the answers. Great concept.
