1. If the language is recorded in Ethnologue, we will use the Ethnologue data. If the language is not recorded in Ethnologue, we will use the Ministry of the Interior census based on nationality, and denoted with a * sign in front.

2. Since Siraya, Babuza-Taokas, Tai-Mak, and Kulon-Pazeh are indigenous languages that are not recognized by the government, they are not technically National Languages of Taiwan (ROC).
