Victoria seems like the shadow answer.

Maybe clarify question 3 to say Queen of the whole of Ireland?

Queen Elizabeth II's full title is "Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of her other realms and territories Queen", so it could be argued that she is Queen of (part of) Ireland (though not all of Ireland).

Northern Ireland is not Ireland, they just share the island of Ireland

Changed the question so that it is clear Elizabeth II is incorrect.

Well, no. Her name was Mary. Hence the nickname "bloody Mary". Because, you know... her name was Mary.

In case it's not clear yet, she was called Mary, and that's why she was called Mary.

Look, if "Peg" can be a common shortening of Margaret, it's not a huge stretch to imagine Mary *could* be, if you're not a name expert.

I thought I was going crazy after getting the state/province one wrong until I remembered that Liz the First was known as the Virgin Queen, hence Virginia.

It would be nice if the questions showed additional factoids after the quiz was over to contextualise the answers. Moar learning! :D

Beautiful quiz. I missed the last one. I was double guessing myself and thinking that maybe the title stayed a bit longer than India did.

Both held the title "Queen of Ireland". This was the official regnal title of Elizabeth II until 1953: "

Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, Ireland and the British Dominions beyond the Seas Queen, Defender of the Faith".
