No no, I just whined that 7 Continents was too easy (or, to be exact, I said it only deserved 1 point for getting it all correct). Someone took a giant leap of logic and said that meant I want killer quizzes!... OK, try this horrifically hard one then, though maybe Americanos will find that all-American one yawningly easy.
Everyone who takes this quiz: If you zoom on the countries of the world map, you can see these islands fairly clearly a little west of Ecuador. Observe them and enjoy!
I'm from Ecuador and I have been to the Galapagos several times and only got 7/14, for people that haven't been there must be imposible to know more than maybe 1 or 2.
And the answer stats.. But these quizzes are to test your knowledge (and learn something along the way), not to get the answers right regardless the method.
I still don't see the point of cheating to get the answers. Is it to try to get a high as possible level? Seems like a waste of time, or do they show it to people and pretend they knew all the answers themselves (who will fall for that). I know it has something to do with an ego boost, but I not really sure how it would work.. Maybe they convince themselves they actually knew the stuff?
I think Darwin is the furthest out, but there are several smaller than it around the archipelago. Darwin's about 3500 feet across, but Isla Sin Nombre, just west of Isla Santa Cruz, is only ~1000 feet across. Guy Fawkes Island and it's neighbor Isla Guy Fawkes are also significantly smaller. There are many even smaller unnamed islands. The smallest named Island I've been able to find in my oh-so-exhaustive search is Isla Onslow, at about 60 feet across.
