"German never occupied Finland. Stalin tried that but failed." is exactly what Wikipedia says at the moment. Sounds a bit hastily edited but is true nevertheless.
Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia are missing from the list. Croatia was a puppet government but was occupied by German troops especially toward the end of the war.
Finland was a German ally. An argument can be made that German troops occupied the extreme north of the country via Norway toward the end of the war when Finland withdrew from the war.
Only a portion of Russia was occupied. If one includes Russia in this list, one might have to include the UK since the Germans occupied a portion of the UK -- i.e. Channel Islands.
Wow! so many screw-ups here! You have Hungary which was an axis ally but not Croatia or Bosnia. Germany never set foot in Albania, that was Italy's show. No Slovenia, Kosovo. What happened to Bulgaria ? They were also an axis ally. NO wonder this quiz is ineligible for points, it is just plain wrong.
don't waste your time with this quiz, there are so many mistakes and inconsistencies. Austria was not taken during WW2; Russia was not taken - if Russia is on the list then the UK should be too for the Channel Islands; Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Finland and Slovakia were German allies voluntarily, not taken; Albania was taken by Italy not Germany; some of the former Yugoslav countries are listed, others are not - all should be. That's just the obvious mistakes
WOW, this quiz is chock-full of errors. Why is Albania after Austria? Why are the N countries before the M ones? Why is Macedonia not North Macedonia? Some historical factors as well: Austria and Czechia were already parts of Germany before the war began. Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary were allies of Germany. Albania was occupied by Italy. San Marino was completely neutral and was not occupied by anyone. Russia was not conquered: It was invaded and liberated in a few months. I'm pretty sure Montenegro was also taken by Italy.
