Great idea. Small correction - there's no d in Kilimanjaro in the English spelling.

Mixed up Elbrus and thought of Erebus.

Me too.

Erebus would be nice as a second entry for Antarctica, but would need a qualifier since there's two of them.

Haha, try to not confuse it with Elbruz Range too (:

I think there is a mistake, the Piton de la Fournaise is located on Reunion Island, which is a French overseas territory. It would therefore be in Europe, and not in Africa

Then, would you consider French Guyana as part of Europe ? That's true that this vulcano isn't in mainland Africa, which is a little tricky I admit it, but you can't consider it to be in Europe ^^

Exactly - there are parts of France that aren't in Europe, simple as that. Fun quiz, thanks!

Like Puncak Jaya being in Oceania.

I precisely avoided Puncak Jaya for this reason, didn't thought there could be a debate about Piton de la Fournaise being in Europe haha

Being in the European Union doesn't imply being in Europe (:

Like, hypothetically speaking, Pico de Orizaba?

Genuine question. Mount Elbrus is in the Caucasus, which is usually considered to be the border between Europe and Asia. Then why is this mountain only considered to be European and not Asian?

I wanted to ask the same question. Normally the caucasus is only within in the extended borders of europe and even then it's not completely in europe. So in my opinion the answer should be either Europe AND Asia or only Asia.

You guys got a good point. That's all my fault: since Elbrus is the highest point of Europe, I never figured that it's also part of Asia :,)

The answer has been changed to something more obvious :D

I have been lucky enough to sail right past both Piton de la Fournaise and Mount Yasur. Unfortunately we didn’t land on either island, but Yasur was actually erupting at the time. Very cool.
