Do you really think you know well your world map ?
For each highlighted tile, find the correct piece which fits the best in it.
The pieces you need to guess are ranked depending on the amount of water they contains.
Advice : Following the order of the game is probably not the best way to clear this quiz. You better should start by matching the most obvious tiles...
(Time was just about right for me, though I felt the pressure at the end a bit. I don't think it would hurt to add another five, unless you particularly want time to be a factor. As we can only guess once per answer in click quizzes I personally think time doesn't need to be tight.)
Well, I don't really know what's the best for the timer. Other people like overtired said they were quite under pressure because of it, so I think I'll let this timer of 25 minutes for now. The goal isn't to make people speeding this quiz, but more to sometimes think about what you are clicking on. Moreover the size of this quiz can be confusing at the beginning...
for a first (or second) attempt the timer is about right, with some practice I have my time down to 1:58 (18:02 remaining) I don't think quizzes should be impossible at the first attempt due to time.
Working out where best to start to minimise time hunting for tiles is fine for chasing records but not for a success.
Great quiz! It always infuriated me when I realized I got it wrong, but the tile didn't leave the options (which makes sense). Every time I saw it, I would want to place it, but then realize I missed it.
yes a zoom feature would be great, don't know if it would be possible. I have to set my screen to 125% to have any chance of differentiating the 3 island tiles (hawaii, west indies and south pacific). But zooming on the screen reduces the number of tiles you can see at the same time.
You can zoom on the map by using the loop, but unfortnuately not on the pieces. Best you can do is probably right click on it, and open the picture on a new tab (but then it's harder to compare it with the map).
Oh, that's quite sad ;/ You should look at how the coasts are shaped, that could give you good hints to replace these kind of pieces in the right order (:
Thanks ! Hope it didn't affect you too much, I needed to reset it quite early after posting (some weeks or so) because I found a better way to display the pieces during this time ^^
I was talking about Novaya Zemlya, they really tripped me up. Great quiz though! It being on the front page is giving me motivation to try for a perfect score.
Thanks alot! You can already play the Europe version or the US made by Stewart (which is easier) ^^ I'm also planning to create a french version (i need to represent my country haha), and i'll may work on the other continents later (:
Well, what do you think should be clarified? You have tiles on the left of your screen, an hidden pattern on the left, and you need to guess which tile fits with every part of the pattern. That's pretty clear (:
Uhm, maybe your PC is a bit old or, you are taking this quiz on smartphone which i wouldn't recommand because yeah as you said it's harder to see details on little screens. By the way, I feel like the 4 islands of Hawaii are pretty recognizable between the other tiles...
Details are not the problem on smartphone but the scrolling -- separate the map part from tile part. Always I catch the wrong one and lose too much time
I would prefer if you could select a piece and then click on the map instead of vice versa. My mousepad is prone to double-clicking and more than once I double-clicked on a puzzle piece and got one wrong on the second click... if that makes sense.
Many thanks! Actually, I don't think there's a way to set such a mechanic on JetPunk ; however, you can use the arrows of your keyboard to pre-select a tile on the left or on the right, and then you can use "enter" to confirm your choice. I think that's the only way to avoid the problem of your mousepad.
One of the most amazing quizzes this site has to offer. I'd love you to do a version of Africa / Asia / the Americas. That would be great! I also love the Europe puzzle game quiz! Great, great work!
Thanks for the kind words about the jigsaw I did for the secret Santa! Your quiz is definitely better than my jigsaw, though. If you wanted to make a version of this with click and drag, I’d certainly be willing to share my method (once I perfect the method and release a bunch of these that I’ve been working on).
This would actually work amazingly for what I envision. I’m going to figure out how to make pieces “snap” into place when in the correct spot. Hopefully I figure it out before too long. I think there is some pretty amazing stuff that can be done with this technique.
Damn, I've rarely been so happy to get everything right on a quiz! There were definitely some lucky guesses in there though, particularly in Northern Russia and Canada.
However, it changes a lot from other quizzes on Jetpunk, so tell me if you think there's too less (or much) time !
And if you're a lil bit lost, maybe you should read the advice :)
And nominated for sure!
(Well, a masterpiece... I see you used a well placed word there :p)
About the time, I think I've the same philosophy as you ; the goal isn't to put people under pressure. I just added these 5 minutes ^^
As for your question, I finished with 15:27 left, so you might be right that there's a bit too much time.

amazing and challenging quiz!
Thanks for your support anyway :D
If you're ready for more difficulty, you can still try the Europe version ^^
Also, I think you're wrong about naming "2 russian islands" as you're probably talking about Kamchatka peninsula ^^
Maybe make the islands appear larger.
