Seychelles are a well-known honeymoon destination. I guess some people don't stick to their wedding promises after a few days of hanging out together... :)
I get that Iceland is pretty much just a paradise of happy people minding their own business and writing books, but 1?! That means there's 1 murder out of 320,716 people! That's .3 murders per 100,000 population! In comparison, the U.S. has 6.8 per 100,000! Anybody know why violent crime is so low in Iceland?!
I never understood why people assume low population density means everybody spreads equally over the area. Most Icelanders live in the capital region so they do in fact live near people.
It is. Also there are very severe punishments for even small felonies. Neighboring Indonesia also has a homicide rate of 0.5 per 100k annually. Super low even for Western European standards.
I very curious what happened in certain places, like solomon and marshall islands, mauritius and comoros, and some other small places i expected to be on here but werent.
