Russia is much closer to North America than Brazil is.

Bulgaria and Greece seem closer to asia as they are bordering Turkey, and Turkey is in Asia for the Countries of the World quiz. That would also make Turkey close to Europe

This. Turkey is in both continents just like Russia, either both should be included or neither. The same is true for Egypt, which is both in Africa (mostly) and Asia (the Sinai).
