1. Speaking Hindi does not mean you are Hindu, the number of Hindi speakers are higher than the number of Hindus.
2. From ~1940s - 2000s, the percentage of Hindi speaking people in Fiji were higher than Fijian speakers.
3. It doesn’t need to be a direct pointer to the country, but we all know that Fiji is basically the only country you can associate with Hindi, in Oceania that is.
Damn, "teardrop" was hard. I got it, but I really had to think abstractly about the shape of countries on the map before I was able to guess Sri Lanka. Don't know how anybody would get there through pure serendipitous free association.
I have never heard of it and I thought it was one of the easiest hints on there (to the point it felt like cheating) even if the continent would have been unknown
I've only ever heard of clemency in the context of mercy or leniency, so this sentence sounded very odd in my brain. I cracked out the dictionary and found the third definition to be simply "mild" in any respect. Thanks for teaching me a new usage!
really clever...great quiz. Got 24 but looking at the answers I probably should have gotten 3 more. Never would have gotten Tear Drop but makes perfect sense as a clue.
I'm from Europe and never heard of Kielbasa, so I had to try almost all European countries. Googling leads me to think that in the USA it's quite a common product, but it's definitely not common everywhere in Europe.
Great quiz but I would agree about the city being removed. It's the only odd one out of the group. Kiwi, or Māori would work too. Would still be pretty easy but less obvious then a city.
Yes, but Yemen itself is considered an Asian country. I do agree that it's not the best clue (Mocha would probably be a better clue for Yemen) but it works fine.
Good quiz, although Blackbeard threw me. I tried USA, because he lived (for a time) and died in North Carolina, and he was reputed to have left treasure there.
Sorry for the stereotype but the first thing I thought of when I saw Dutch was what South American country is known for their frugality. For context my wife is German and every summer that we're there I get the jokes about staus caused by Niederlanders with their caravans.

Hope that helped.
