I wonder if the people who said that Arizona is the Italy of america have ever been to Italy. Also, I feel like you need some type of qualifier on the most common language in Michigan. I'm sure there are more English speakers in Michigan than Arabic, perhaps what you meant is the most common after English? or the most common mother tongue of people immigrating to Michigan?

Arizona's official nickname is that, not its slang nickname (just like how Florida is called "The Sunshine State"). Also, third most common; you misread the clue for plain "common". :)

Ok, I changed the hint. Only 8% of people knew it, and a good amount of them could have looked at the comments.

Did not expect Arabic. Considering where I grew up, I thought for sure it would be Dutch or German or Vietnamese, and I skeptically tried English (#1), Spanish (#2), Korean, Tagalog, Chinese, and even specifically Mandarin. But I suppose that's what I get for forgetting Dearborn.
