I just checked the facts. Seems the Bahamas' coastline actually extends for 3,542 km, whereas Peru's is only 3,080 km. The difference is surprisingly significant. Though the South American country is much larger in terms of surface area its coastline is rather featureless (it has no rugged coastline unlike Greece, with few capes and peninsulas, no islands, etc) whereas the Bahamas, being a typical Carribbean country, consists of an arquipelago of large and medium sized islands, hence enhancing the country's natural perimeter.
