NL: Hoeveel Belgische gemeenten kunt u noemen?
FR: Combien de communes Belges pouvez-vous citer?
DE: Wie viele Belgische Gemeinden können Sie nennen?
EN: How many Belgian municipalities can you name?
Great quiz. You missed one 2019 fusion however: Opglabbeek and Meeuwen-Gruitrode (incorrectly labeled Meeuwen-Helchteren in this and the Flanders quiz) have combined to form Oudsbergen.
Hey ! I was looking for this quiz and couldnt find it because the title does not mention "belgium" nor "map". Also this quiz is not translated in the french version of jetpunk (I think ?). Maybe you can translate it so that we can find your quiz more easily ? (its ok if you dont want to obviously)
It's nice with these things when I know I'm only going to get a few, to get one or two which are very un-guessed. Bassenge, in my case (thank you Grottes de Wonck)
After not having updated the quiz since 2021, I have now made this map up to date. Unfortunately, this does mean that your scores have been reset.
The fusions should be in order (already for the 2025 Flemish corrections that are coming). I hope you enjoy it! The new form-factor allows me to make changes more easily (part of the reason why it was not updated before). If you notice any mistakes please just comment below, as you have done before. The individual province quizes will be updated soon too, definitely check those out!
If the name of Kapelle-op-den-Bos is spelt wrong than the official Flemish government site is wrong. I copied it straight from there :). I will look into it.
Edit:
Indeed the official Flemish site is wrong. The Gent - Latem problem is fixed
Amazing update!! Great idea to split the answers by province.
Small note, is there a reason the german names of the german-speaking communes (Sankt Vith, Büllingen, Kelmis and Amel, notably) are no longer accepted?
Similarly, the french names of the Brussels communes aren't accepted, which seems weird given the bilingual status of the Brussels region.
Just to add: Flemish versions of Walloon towns also seem to not be working (Tournai - Doornik as one example), so probably something going on with alternatives all together.
Anyway thanks for the update. Now if only they merge these towns a bit faster, and I actually have a chance of completing this.
Some mistakes: Hermiksem => Hemiksem
Brussels municipalities, Lokeren and Pelt seem to be missing
There also is a quiz for just the municipalities of Brussels
The municipalities of Brussels have been left out because the map size would be too big.
Fleures => Fleurus and Oreye => Olne
Merci!
- Frasnes-lez-Gosselies should be also accepted fot Les Bons Villers
- Oreye and Olne are interchanged
- Puurs and Sint Amands have now merged in a single commune called Puurs-Sint-Amands
- Herstappe does not appear on the map
- The 19 communes of Bruxelles-Capitale should also be included, they have the same status as any other commune in Belgium
Other than that, it is a great quiz :)

Some small mistakes I noticed:
- There seems to be a problem with Kapelle-op-den-Bos. I think you spelled it with 2 x P instead of 2 x L.
- When typing in Gent, Sint-Martens-Latem is also highlighted, but not counted as a right answer.

- Bastogne absorbed Bertogne, so Bertogne is no longer a municipality
- Gammerages, Gooik and Hérinnes fusionned under the name Pajottegem
