Sorry but souverän does not mean sovereign. More like, calm, in control (or a situation).

I am not a native speaker in German, but I got this word from a politics lesson (which is being taught in German for me) using it in the same context as sovereign and I checked Duden and it also seems to back my definition. Maybe there are simply more than one definitions (Which I will gladly add as well btw)

verdienen also means "earn (money)", which i tried to write. Good quiz however, as a French who has an advanced level of German, this was pretty difficult for me
