Thanks for taking this quiz of mine! For those interested here are some details:

• By 'Rome' I mean anything within a 3.5km radius of the centre of Rome

• I made every single aspect of this SVG (my first time ever doing this)

• I could turn this into an annual (or so) series due to summer being the only time I have enough time on my hands for this

• The file size of this SVG is just 5kb below the JetPunk limit

Credits/Sources

• Drawings are traces of photographs that were usually from Wikipedia

Have a Great Day :D

Hi Maxibon, Got your message re translating quizzes, thanks. I'm relaxed about anyone translating my quizzes, but I understand everyone has their own preferences and so I won't translate any others of yours. Note that your quizzes have been credited and linked to, though. Cheers Jeremy

I greatly appreciate it Jerry!

I am aware that I was credited and I'm happy you did however all my quizzes are in English so French users probably won't do anything more than a glance at my profile.

Have a great day :)

Thanks very much!

It's quite a niche topic, so I never expected it to gain too many plays.

I typed in a lot of reasonable answers, but only two of them were accepted. I have no idea how to do this quiz. Could you add some instructions? The average score is 5, so I'm obviously not the only one who has no idea how this quiz works.

What do you mean by this, could you kindly provide some examples?

"Spaghetti" and "pasta" don't work for the plate of spaghetti and meatballs. "Cheese" and "parmesan" don't work for the wedge of cheese. Am I supposed to type the inventor of spaghetti? The place where spaghetti was invented? I'm baffled.

Spaghetti, pasta, and cheese are vague, I added a caveat to prevent this. It is a quiz about Rome so I have included food which originate in Rome, I though that would be obvious. Also, Parmesan wasn't accepted because that cheese isn't Parmesan. You can reason that it is Pecorino Romano due to it being in a Rome quiz, and it is the most well-known cheese from Rome.

I've never heard of Pecorino Romano, so I certainly couldn't reason that! So it's not that I don't understand the quiz, but that 2/20 is a reasonable score for an average non-Roman person.

I don't understand the fact that you don't know what to type, perhaps for the nicknames it is a bit tricky.

For the landmarks section, you have to type the landmark depicted, for the nature section, you have to type the natural feature depicted, for the people section, you have to type the person depicted, for the cuisine section, you have to type the name of the dish depicted, for the nickname section, you have to type the name of nickname drawn.

This quiz isn't easy, none of my quizzes are. There are plenty of easy quizzes out there which give knowledge which everyone knows. The point of my quizzes are to teach new information, not give you information you already know.

As I said, it's not that I didn't know what to type. The reason why "spaghetti" and "parmesan" didn't work is because they were wrong answers. Your quiz requires specific knowledge of Rome that I don't have.

It's fine to not know things, if I had to take this quiz without working on it I wouldn't have done so well either. Does the caveat I added solve this problem?

I would have assumed that the Gardens of Vatican City are in, well, Vatican City. Is that still generally recognized as part of Rome?

They are located within the Vatican City, however for this quiz the Vatican is part of Rome. I added a caveat to make this clear to the user.

Thanks for the feedback!

Why is this so underrated

I don't know exactly however I speculate it's because of the low performance by users. It's unfortunate some people rate quizzes low because they perform "badly".
