After seeing all of the comments, I am sorry for some of the mistakes I have made. I did not do as much research as I should have and was too lazy to go back and fix them. This quiz will be updated as of today or tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who took the quiz and commented my mistakes to help me revise the quiz.
João Goulart a dictator? He was the vice-president, elected by the people, when president Jânio Quadros resigned. He suffered a coup d'état and that's when a dictatorship began in Brazil. If I could detect such a HUGE mistake about my country's history, I begin to imagine how many more I'd find with minimal research...
Castelo Branco, Costa e Silva, Emilio G. Médici, Ernesto Geisel, João Figueiredo. Pick one of these ridiculous generals who run Brazil from 1964 to 1985 to replace Goulart, I kindly ask you, for the sake of good information.
Great quiz! My only suggestion is to either only allow answers for the selected dictator or to greatly decrease the time. I was able to rank a very high score simply by naming every country I could think of, and the quiz for naming all the countries in the world is limited to half the time.
Hendrik Verwoerd wasn't a dictator. Presumably the idea is that, as non-white people weren't allowed to vote in South Africa at the time, that somehow makes him a dictator. But that doesn't make any sense - in the 19th century elections in most countries which had them excluded women, but that doesn't make Disraeli or Gambetta dictators.
