Finally featured! Very great quiz, surprised nearly anybody gets the Canton Tower.

I might've heard about it, but for the purpose of this quiz I didn't even know it existed. The other one I missed, 2nd in line, is just very unfamiliar. One of them I got right by guessing wildly, so I knew 6 total.

The Canton Tower, despite obscure, is actually one of the tallest towers in the world.

And it's in Guangzhou, which is the largest city/urban area in the world, yet I hadn't heard of it until taking these quizzes.

Guangzhou = Canton, one of the most famous chinese cities... Anyway, I didn't know that tower. Didn't remember the number for Taipei's either.

It was the only one I had left but saw that it began with a B or C. Assuming that it was in China, I figured that it might be named after one of the cities/regions there.

gandalf has a point for once. In fact, every other building on this quiz was at one time either the biggest building or structure in the world by some measure. Canton Tower never was.

@arp I had the opposite, I knew there was a big tower named something 101. Tried dubai 101 and simply 101 haha and I think actually first petronas 101 (then erased 101). I didnt get it unfortunately, and did ct for cn tower, and also didnt get canton tower

That's the only one I didn't immediately recognize. Because I wasn't aware it was a thing.

I got it and was suprised so few people got it, it's kinda obscure but it is super tall and one of the most famous structures in Guangzhou.

I didn't.

I was getting it mixed up with the Aspire Tower in Doha, and was never able to budge my brain off of that.

There is no more room for adding buildings, sadly. If I make a sequel to this quiz, I will add the Mecca Clock Tower though.

Isn't the Chrysler building taller than the Eiffel Tower
+1
Level 85
Jan 26, 2017
No, the Eiffel tower is 5 meters taller. On the other hand, the shape of the Eiffel tower is slightly wrong on this picture, the part above the second floor should be higher, and thus the base should appear smaller at the scale of this silhouette. Maybe this is rather what you see when looking at the tower from the ground?

The Chrysler Building looks way less spectacular when you can't see the pointy parts on top. The shape looks like it could just be any building.

Omg I just finished this quiz and started to read the comments and I look up for a second (to see if the previous program ended, I heard the narrating voice had changed), and what do I see... burj khalifa !! (And to be honest, before this quiz I knew the name but not what it looked like) I recognized the silhouet in that split second. Wow... what are the odds....

Thanks for the feedback, I feel more comfortable with SVG-maps now and I will try and think of alternate ways to display the name (perhaps underneath the building would be suffice).

I would suggest accepting "khalifa" for "Burj Khalifa" since "burj" means "tower" in Arabic, and typing tower is not required for accepting any of the other towers.
