Hi there! Great quiz, would it be possible to also add the Pinyin? E.g. Xinbei or Xinbei shi for New Taipei, Xinzhu for Hsinchu, Gaoxiong for Kaohsiung, etc. Thanks!
Guess the dictatorship Quizmaster would rather prefer tons of very non-important US centered "American State Counties" quizzes to be featured than these First-Level Subdivisions countries quizzes.
It's a problem on several older maps I have. The borders resize accordingly, but the map doesn't zoom. They used to work just fine however. I will take a look.
referring Hanyu Pinyin as the "real Chinese pronunciation" is just a blatant disregard to the other co-existing (semi-)official romanisation standards that remains frequently used in Taiwan, most of which, including the Wade-Giles system that was used in romanising the mandarin pronunciation of 高雄 as adopted by its local government, are, quite frankly, made by westerners to cater for westerners.
Kaohsiung has automatic type-ins, and I believe it is the only answer on this quiz which does not accept Pinyin transliteration. Wades-Giles is the default displayed answer because it is the romanisation which is most commonly used in Taiwan.
Another quiz I'd like to see featured.
