Countries With Territory in Oceania (with empty map)

The whole of New Guinea is considered to be a part of Oceania. Didn't know about the dispute with Wake Island. I will make a note.

Nice and the Cook Islands have more differences than that, which is why I excluded them from the quiz. Cook Islanders and Niueans automatically are citizens of New Zealand, while Palau, Micronesia and Marshall Islands hav unique citizenships and their citizens are not Americans. They also have UN membership, unlike Cook Islands or Niue, which is why I would consider them to be fully sovereign.

It's all rather arbitrary but I believe the Galapagos are considered part of South America. Easter Island is much further from mainland Chile than the Galapagos from Ecuador it also has an indigenous Polynesian culture/connection.
