Are they all former flags? Some look like the currently used ones.

A few countries, such as Israel and North Korea, have never been represented with a flag that isn't the currently used flag. In that case, the current flag will be used. In other cases, such as Japan, the flag only went through minor changes and looks similar to the present flag.

For Israel It Is British Palestine (1920-1948)

For North Korea It Is USSR Occupiation (During Korean War) (1945-1948) During (SCA) Soviet Civil Administration In Korea

And For Pakistan It Is Durrani Empire (1747-1823)

Yes :(

I use links from Wikipedia but at this point I'm likely going to have to drastically change the source images, otherwise the quiz will keep breaking. Sometimes flags break within months of me updating the quiz.
