Can you name all of the modern countries that have had a civil war or major insurrection with a violent loss of life (every country has some moron who doesn't want to pay their taxes or somesuch and wants to rebel against the system, so to avoid making the list much longer they will be excluded). The United Kingdom is not listed, although England, Scotland and Wales have all had major civil wars while they were independent states. Nations that are currently still involved in civil wars are also included.
A civil war is a war fought between citizens of a state. Since the Spanish were occupiers and were not in any way related to the Dutch or considered Dutch citizens, they count as an occupying force rather than a faction of the citizenry. Same with Belgium.
What about the Velvet Revolution in Slovakia? Oh yeah i'm dumb, that wasn't a civil war, it was a peaceful protest of Slovakian citizens wanting to leave Czechoslovakia.
The offical name is Cote d'Ivoire in the Countries of the world quiz.
