It didn't. Although Hitler did want to take over Vatican City, but he didn't get to it.

Where is Turkey? Both Britain and Germany made strenuous efforts to coax Turkey to enter the war, in vain.

Turkey joined after most of Greece and Yugoslavia had been re-taken over by the Allies. They helped recapture land all the way to Bavaria.

It says modern countries. As in countries that exist now which didn't exist then. As parts of the Portuguese Empire, Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique and Guinea Bissau were neutral.

Why is Cabo Verde not accepted but Cape Verde?

Because we speak English on American websites lol

If that were true, why isn't only Green Cape accepted? Verde is obviously not English. At least Timor-Leste has the excuse that translating both words of its name is rather pointless. Honestly it's very stupid, but there isn't always a non-stupid option, so I guess we'll stick with one of the stupid ones.

And it doesn't help matters that they asked this in 2018, when JetPunk still used the name Cabo Verde in most quizzes. By level 71 you should honestly know better than "we speak English lol". Consider just not replying next time.

It's supposed to be in alphabetical order, isn'it? Mozambique should be before Portugal.
