Can you name the world's 100 largest land masses (note, Arabia and Turkey are counted as part of Asia as well as all of Russia east of the Urals. Only individual islands are counted, so Japan and New Zealand don't count as answers. Furthermore, Europe and Asia are listed as separate on the wikipedia page, or at least were at the time of the quiz's launch).
Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America are not landmasses. A land mass is contiguous land. The first three should be merged into Afro-Eurasia, and the last two into America.
Also Celebes has been known as Sulawesi for 60 years now.
No, North and South America are not contiguous because of the Panama canal; same goes for Africa and Eurasia because of the Suez canal. However, you're right that Europe and Asia should be merged because they are obviously contiguous.
Also Celebes has been known as Sulawesi for 60 years now.
It's Yuzhny not Nuzhny.
Seram is the usual modern spelling.
Svalbard is the archipelago, not an island itself (Spitsbergen, Nordaustlandet etc.)
