Please accept Khamenai for Khamenei, who is the leader of Iran only since 1989. before that, between 1981 and 1989 he was the president under leader Khomeini.

Good point, but as head of state, it would be fair to say he ruled between 1981 and 1989, though he did not withhold much power. I don't see why I should accept "Khamenai" though.
