How can Winnipeg have more people than Vancouver?

Because the City of Vancouver (pop. 631,486, 114.97 km square) is only a part of Greater Vancouver (2.46 million, 2,700 km square).

As for Winnipeg, pretty much the entire population lives in the city itself (pop. 705,244, 464.08 km square), which is 4 times larger than Vancouver "proper" with a similar amount of people.

Few mistakes. St Catharines and New Westminster are both spelt wrong, Cape Breton isn't a city (just an island), and North Vancouver is there twice. Other than that, great quiz!

You have to type "St Catherines" to get St. Catharines.

And yes, the entire quiz needs to be updated for the 2021 census.

St. Catharines is shown here, but if you spell it that way (correctly), it's not accepted
