Too much time. If you know like 70% of the list, then there's enough time to spam the alphabet to get the last few.

Even if you only know 10% you can finish it by spamming the alphabet.

So true. I knew everyone here except Willam Burroughs, but was able to get the answer by guessing all the letters.

Gasp! The Americans are trying to claim Michael Fox! If you get him we should get to claim someone of equal value. We want… Patton Oswalt.

And Arthur Clarke! But he's not that alive anymore so I won't insist on a trade.

Huh. It doesn’t look like Clarke even moved to the US… he moved to Sri Lanka for like 50 years to scuba dive and do undersea exploration. What a life he had.

I knew about 8 or 9, got the rest by guessing random letters. I suggest less time.

Nice quiz!

I feel like this quiz could be better off as a click quiz. Having one chance to get the right letter instead of spamming letters for ones you don’t know.

If you really want to game the system, you can copy and paste "qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm" and just press the DEL key from the beginning of the line.

You can't have Arthur C. Clarke, as mentioned above. He was in no way American. How about Robert (A.) Heinlein as a replacement?

Since I got all the previous questions without even looking at the dates, when I saw "Michael Jordan" at the end, I tried typing "J" a couple times, before realizing it was looking for the dude born in 1987, not the one born in 1963, LOL.

Wow...there were four I didn't know and lucky for me they were all near the beginning of the alphabet! ;)

Fun fact! The "J" in "Michael J. Fox" doesn't stand for anything. When he first registered for the Screen Actors Guild he discovered that there was already an actor going by "Michael Fox," and SAG rules prohibit two members from using the same name. His real middle name is Andrew, but he didn't like "Andrew Fox" or "Andy Fox," and "Michael A. Fox" sounded like he was saying he was "Michael, a fox." (He said it "also sounded uncomfortably Canadian – Michael Eh? Fox – but maybe I was just being oversensitive.") He ended up picking "J." in honor of the character actor Michael J. Pollard," and occasionally tells people it stands for either Jenuine or Jenius.

That was surprisingly easy - didn't expect to get them all.

Arthur C. Clark was British, Michael J. Fox is Canadian - otherwise good quiz

When I made the quiz it was originally international, but, when it got featured, the site changed it to just U.S. They must have forgotten to remove those two. I would make an international version, but the middle initial thing seems to be very American. Not many international ones who are well known.

Fun fact: S is not just an initial in Truman's name, it's his actual second name. His parents couldn't decide what his second name should be, but both their bids started with S, so they just used the letter
