Contested island between the state of Maine and the Canadian province of New Brunswick. A lighthouse in the center is manned at all times by Canada out of protest.

Most densely populated island in the country, it's New York's smallest borough by area and home to the city's financial center.

One of the main settings of the novel "Moby-Dick". Once a notorious whaling port for English immigrants, the island is now home to a large summer colony.
